Update and Question

Hey everyone,
I havent been here in a bit but I just wanted to post an update and a question.
My update is that I had surgery on Feb 9th and all went well until 3 weeks out. At 3 weeks out I began to throw up everything, including water. I went back into the hospital for a total of 2 weeks with 2 strictures. I was stretched once and then it closed again. As of right now I am at home and doing well. I am officially 5 weeks out but still on just protein drinks and water. Kinda sucks because I miss food. I am not hungry but I just miss the chewing. I go back to have another endoscopy on Monday to see if they can stretch my stoma all the way.

My question is has anyone ever had this happen? I know it can happen but I have never met anyone who has had it happen.

Thanks
Nathalie :)

I don't know anyone personally that this has happened to but just remember it's bump in the road, you'll get better and be back to normal soon!

Good luck with the next endoscopy!

Thanks so much for the well wishes. I am sure it is only a bump in the road and I just have to remember that in the end it will be worth it.

I missed chewing also. My surgeon allowed me to have sugar free hard candy. I was able to crunch them with my teeth and chew them. It really helped me, I suggest asking your surgeon if that would be ok for you. Hang in there :)
