Both my son and I have got colds and cough this week so I haven't been able to get to any of my gym classes. I have been going to the gym at night doing the arc trainer, bike, treadmill and weights. I hate colds!
On a more bummer of a note, my left knee is bothering me. I've talked to both of the aerobic instructors I see and my piano student who is a physical therapist and they actually think it's my hip out of place. I'm making the call today to see if I can just get a straight referral to see the PT and hopefully she can get me back aligned plus give me some exercises to do at home. The thing that makes me sad is that I'm suppose to do a 5K in two weeks and she said it would take about 4-6 weeks worth of PT before it hopefully gets back to normal (if that is what indeed is wrong). But, not an end...just a setback. More training time, I guess!
Happy Thursday now, everyone because I'm a day late.....lol

I started running last summer and I really was surprised how quickly I progressed. I can do a 5K now, easily but have never actually ran a 5K race..so I wanted to get that under my belt before I tried the 10K. My ultimate goal is a 1/2 marathon but yes, 13 miles is scary to even say!!
I like to do intervals of jog/walk and when I first started I did maybe 3 minutes jogging and 1 minute walking and built from there. I will never be a fast runner I can do maybe a mile at 6.0 on the treadmill but I'm more comfortable around 5.3-5.5. I also am only 5'4 and have stubby legs that will never debut as a Rockette. :-)
I'm so sick of pains....I'm only 28 and some days I feel like I'm 50!
