need help!
Okay so this coming Thursday the 4th is my weigh in day. If I have lost th 12 lbs he asked me too I'll be able to schedule surgery on that day. I need it over spring break bc of school and stuff and I'm TERRIFIED I won't make weight. Any advice for a quick 3 or 4 lbs. I know I'm right on the line but I'd rather be a few lbs lighter than he wanted. My older brother was a wrestler and used water pills and stuff to loose b4 matches, do any of you guys have advice? I'm losing sleep over this. I am self pay, and not relying on insurance. This is just something my surgeon Dr. Walton has asked me to do. ANY advice of any kind would be helpful! My dietician has me on lean meats and low starch veggies. I've pretty much just been treating it like a no carb diet. PLEASE HELP!! -Lindsay
Here's my advice... just focus on sticking to your diet for the next few days and get your exercise in. Don't go workout like a maniac the day before because that will make you retain fluid. What time is your appointment? If its early in the day just don't eat before your appointment and bring a protein bar or shake to have after you weigh in. I personally have been known to wear workout clothes on days I have to weigh in at WW because sweats and jeans are heavy. So wear light clothing, or layers you can shed. Now don't quote me on this, but when I got pre-oped and had my surgery date set I was about 2lbs short of my goal and they went ahead and set my date anyways because I was on a strict schedule because of school and Dr. B just told me to make sure I had those 2 lbs off by surgery day. I would try had not to stress too much about it and just stick to what you've been doing and you'll be fine.
Like I say, don't hold me to that or the docs might get mad at me, but that's what happened in my particular case. No, I'm actually going out of town this weekend so I won't be working on Thursday :-( You always seem to come in on days I'm out of town! LoL Hopefully we'll get to meet up sometime soon.
