It's been a while...

 Hello!

It has been so long since I've been on OH, but I'm back. I posted a blog if anyone is interested in reading it. I am just about 9 months post op and have kinda fallen off track. I haven't been as proactive in my food choices and meal planning as I should be. I've been neglectful of things and haven't been doing very well with eating lately. Just a bunch of bad choices. I'm still losing (slowly), but the past few months have been rough. I am getting myself back on track and my first stop was OH - of course! I have been away from this site for so long but took the time to check in on everyone today. It's good to see some of the same faces still posting on here, it's comforting to see that some things never change! I just wanted to say that I love this site and I love this board and if anyone is where I'm at or has gone through the same thing I have, I'd love to hear your stories!

Hi Holly!

It's so couragous of you to come and post about your struggles. Sometimes, especially when we are in the honeymoon phase right out of surgery, it all seems like sunshine and roses so I'm actually very glad to see that you are sharing a big reality for so many of us who are over that stage. You know what? I'm right there with you. I've been making some poor choices as well and been struggling in other areas. I'm trying to be proactive by seeing a new psychologist and really questioning my urges to eat. I've also been reading a ton...books I"ve already read and new ones. i just finished Carnie Wilson's second book, which is interesting because it was written in 2003 and we all know what has happened since to her...she gained a lot of weight. Knowing that makes me like her even more because it just shows she's a real human being, just like the rest of us.

Anyway, sorry to go off track but I'm glad you are back and I hope that will a lot of support, you will be able to get back to a place where you feel you are on the right track with your weigh management.

Thanks Emily :)

What books have you been reading? I'm always looking for books, not even just about WLS, just in general.
