THANKS for all the WONDERFUL support OH! You ROCK!
HEEEEY Everybody!!!!
I wanted to thank everybody for all there support through my surgery process. I had my RNY done on Jan 29th, an didn't get to come home from the hospital till Tuesday late (Feb 2ed) I was in surgery for over 9 hours!!! WOW, I know, they were only expecting 4 or 5 at tops. BUT everything was fixed, and my RNY was to a "T" as my doctor stated. They were able to remove all my cancer cells, and everything looks wonderful! I was in recovery for almost 4 hours as well!!! I had a reaction to the pain meds they had me on in recovery, and quit breathing, so they had to switch it up a couple of times to get me stable! after that I was feeling pretty well, but NOOOOO.... I got a fever that night of 102.1 and they were thing infection already! Had a cat scan and x-ray, but everything looked good, until I felt like I couldn't breath... My lungs were have a reaction to one of the meds I was on! It was completely scary! But FINALLY everything was okay again! I had a to stay a few extra days to make sure that my fever didn't come back! On Sunday night my blood pressure kept dropping dangerously low, and then coming to high! (I have never had an issue with my heart or blood pressure) BUT It finally stabilized as well!!! OVER ALL a complete scary process for me, but If I had to do it all again, complications and all, HELL YES I would! I know that this surgery is saving my life in more than one way!!!
Thanks for readying everybody! and have a blessed weekend!!!

Thanks Emily! I hope you enjoyed your vacation! :-) I know about the 9 hour surgery. All I remember asking what time it was when I was going into surgery, and they were like 10am. and when I got to recovery, and woke up the 1st time, I asked again (I was actually worried about my sister picking up my 2 year old on time) and they told me it was 7pm! I was like WHAT.... But I had been asleep for a while in recovery, when I finally talked to my dr, he explained why it took so long, and what had been done. They had to bump the person after me to monday! I felt so bad that they had to go through the weekend, but my dr just said that things happen, and that they understood!!!
:-) Have a great weekend!
