4 years post-op, long time no post, update
Howdy WLS in your 20's board,
I have been away for quite a while, but after an e-mail urging me to come and post I feel the need to stop by. I am indeed 4 years and 3 months post-op. I am healthy, sitting at 140-145 pounds, down from 293 pre-op. Eating correctly has become ingrained - occasionally I have part of a cinnamon roll or a few bites of ice cream, but that is healthy too, as long as it is occasional and alongside an otherwise nutritional diet. I do not feel deprived, in fact I feel blessed.
My absence from OH was due to a lot of things (OH was my lifeline for quite a while). The largest of those things being, I am busy living. I actually forgot about my 4th WLS anniversary because I just didn't think about it with everything else going on. I never thought that would happen - when I was pre-op and the first couple years post-op I never thought a day would pass when I didn't think about WLS. WLS gave me the chance to do so much more with my life, to be so much more free, so free that sometimes I forget where I came from.
I want to encourage new post-ops and any of you who are experiencing stalls and other frustrations. You can do this. It seems hard at times, but if you stick to it you are going to be successful. Let your tool - be it RNY or lap-band or DS - work for you. It is a wonderful life.
I'll be around the board today and tomorrow if anyone has questions (I'll scroll through recent posts to see if I can be useful) I'll do my best to help if I can.

Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
Hey there! Great to see you post :) I'm 5 1/2 years post-op now and still here sporadically, as well. Sometimes I'll post for days at a time, then disappear for a few months or so. It's great to see you still at goal and so encouraging! I'm also on FB a lot more than I'm on here, but it's fun to be out living life now like we couldn't do before :)
