Hello all you fabulous ladies (and gents), I have been a member of obesityhelp for a few months now and ive been slowly finding my way around the place.  I have finally stumbled across this board and i think ill stay awhile and stop lurking so much. lol.

so a little about me:  My name is Michelle and im 22 years old.  i am an army wife (of 3 years) and i have one child (2 year old boy), i also have 3 dogs, and two cats.  I work as a youth minister at a church.

I am having the RNY gastric bypass on february 9th!!!  i currently weigh 300 pounds and my goal weight is 130.  I know that i have alot of weight to loose but im a very stubborn girl and i know i can do it.

I start the two week "high protien liquid diet" on monday and im a little scared. i hope it goes by quickly and i loose the required amount of weight.  I cant WAIT to start loosing!

I look forward to getting to know everyone on here and i hope i can maybe be of some help to yall too...

*****also, i wanted to ask is there a place on obesityhelp where you can post clothes you have for sale, maybe a forum or group?  and does any ladies on here have some clothes they are ready to sell? i really like the vintage/pinup girl style (polka dots, ect)************

Hi Michelle! Welcome!

Good luck on Monday. You're going to do great!! I've got to start a two week liquid diet too and am looking forward to it in a sick and twisted kind of way.

Does your surgeon's office have a support group? MIne is too far away to travel to, but I keep hearing that lots of them have clothing exchanges.

Hi and welcome to the board. Congrats on your surgery date!! (I will be having surgery that day too )

You will do great on your diet and it will all be worth it in the end. I am not sure about an actual forum to post for clothes but I have seen people just put up posts on boards or sometimes they have clothing exchanges at the support groups. Anywho I hope to talk to you again and good luck. The next 2 weeks are gonna fly by.

Nathalie

Hi there~  I'm Renae, an Air Force wife!  Awesome to see yet another Military wife on here =)  I had my surgery in August 2004 (open RNY!).  I weighed 303 lbs when I began the process (and very well could have weighed more at some point, but I'll never know, I just know that's what the scale said when I started the WLS process) and now I hover between 130 and 140 lbs.  I look forward to getting to know you, as well.  Sorry I can't be of more help on the clothing thing as I don't really do the vintage/pinup style (I'm more into the "rocker chick" style, myself), plus I got rid of my newly post-op clothes many years ago...  Where are you located at?  I'm in Oklahoma.
