2 Year Surgiversary with pics!
Hello Friends!
So I'm now technically not allowed to post here anymore, seeing as I've hit the 30s. But you were all with me thru my weight loss and final years of my 20s. So I had to post! I just realized that tomorrow is my 2 year surgiversary of RNY. WOWZA! Time sure flies. Just had to pop on here and encourage all you newbies. You may be waiting approval, you may be waiting a date, you may be early post-op and wondering if you will ever make it, you may be in a stall feeling like the biggest failure... you may even be questioning if you made the right choice!
Then let me encourage you. I walked thru everyone of those feelings, doubts, questions, failures, struggles and emotions. More times than I can count, I was convinced I would be the only person to fail at RNY surgery and that I would be a big, fat, lonely, miserable loser for the rest of my life.
Funny how what once seemed impossible soon became improbable, and then with enough hard work, eventually became inevitable. I did it! RNY saved my life. And I'm maintaining that 134 lb weight loss, thank you very much. Lovin' life as a size 10/12!
And for all you voyeurs, here's a little photo journey...
2 years ago, 312 lbs and miserable :(
And NOW! 175 lbs and making this new lifestyle work!
Keep following the rules, believe in yourself and practice radical self-love. You WILL celebrate your 2 year anniversary, too.
Love and hugs,
Heather
