just wanted to say hello & hope everyone is doing well. it's been a long time since i've been on here. ( honestly it scared me for awhile with all the stories ) but i'm about a year and a half out starting at 278 & now am down to about 130. had a couple questions though - somedays i feel like i can barely eat & other days i can eat half of a small sandwhich...what's the deal with that?! and how much should i be able to eat at this point? it's still confusing sometimes cause i know everyone is different, i just wanted a little feedback.

 hey kara congrats!!!!.
im 2 years out now n i can eat like a "normal" person so i have to watch very carefully my portions n choises.  but ur in healthy weight now  so focus on ur choises n excercise. just try to control ur portions  and you'll be fine, dont worry if you are able to eat a whol sandwich.. a sandwich is healthy just dont over eat.
i know its hard to eat cuz now we feel gulty  when we eat, but relax ur doing great n u will be able to keep the weight off. so kee it up!
hugs.

I'm pretty much the same way, some days I eat a lot it feels like even though its still not a third of what a normal person would eat and other days I'll only eat a few bites and be stuffed.  who knows how long it will last though.  I think that as long as you are not over eating or eating crap you know you're not supposed to eat you'll be fine.  Everyone is different but the point of surgery is to restrict us so that we can learn to eat a new way so that when we can eat more we make the right decisions.  Just keep doing what you are doing because it sounds like you've been very successful!  Great Job!

 Hi,

Congrats on your great success!   Sounds like we all have the same issues - some days it seems like I could eat a ton and other days I'm stuffed after a few bites.  I think it's more quality or quantity as Mariana said.   I eat nothing like I did before surgery or like a "normal" person would on any given day, so I think I'm doing fairly well considering.

Good luck!

~Emily~
