First visit to the 20's board ~ <insert shy hello>

 Hiya~!

I was just looking through the different message boards and I came across this one.  I wanted to say hi and that I hope to find a spot here as I have found a home on the DS forums.  As I was wandering through posts I didn't see any other DSers on here . . . Are their 20ish people other then me who have had the Duodenal Switch?

I am a little far behind you.  I am in the process of trying to get the DS!  I am so lucky to have a surgeon on my area who does them...but he is impossible to get an appointment with!  so I have one in march.

Anyways, I have also been using this board and the DS board to do research and find support!  So hello, and nice to meet you.

So you're still trying to get in for your consultation or are you approved and awaiting surgery at this point?

I had the DS! I am now 26 I had it in october of 08'. It is a hard but great process! Ask me anyting if you need to talk!

 hi wellcome to the board! i believe there is a few DS's around.
im 2years out of Rny. but we all been there n  its great to have support from other girls in their 20's ur gonna love it here.

I do love it here on OS, but my experiences with the wars on the main forums left me kind of scared of posting anywhere not my surgery specific forum.  However, it would sort of help to have people around my age to talk to about the changes that are going to happen.  Its a huge step!! 

 Welcome to the 20s board.  One thing you will find on this board is that people are very supportive here, and there is little of the judgement that you see on other boards.  If I needed to vent, this is certainly where I would do it, because I know I would find a sympathetic and supportive ears.
