WLS on Monday..AAAAAAAAAAAH
My WLS is on Monday and I'm freaking out.
I only found out yesterday that it's on Monday, when I thought it would sometime in the summe.r And i feel not 100% ready. Scary.
Where I'm from, there is no preperation really before. No special diet or meetings with shrinks. And I was slowly getting myself prepared. Eating more healthy and trying to eat 3 meals a day (I don't always have time), and getting my mind around the idea.
And now it's on Monday and I don;t know anything. What I can and can't eat after, and when will ppl start to see a differeence, and can I even do this...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breathe!!
Everything will be ok.
What I would do is call your doctor's office and speak to them about your concerns. Ask them for all the information you can (in print form) about what and how much to eat, exercise, follow ups. If they tell you they will give it to you after surgery, just say you'd be more comfortable knowing beforehand and you can come pick up the copies tomorrow to read over the weekend. This is important, so pretty much insist on it and don't take no for an answer.
If deep down you really feel that waiting would be better, do it. This surgery and new life isn't something to jump into completely unprepared, so if you need more time to do some reading and make yourself more comfortable with it, that is totally justifiable. You know you, so just do what you think is the best for right now.
Good luck with everything and if you do go through, please keep us updated on how your surgery went!
