think of me tomorrow morning please!
hey girls and boys!
yesterday i felt this weird pulse in my stomach and it freaked me out! also i kept feeling stomach pains all over, esp on my right side (where it felt like somebody punched me). fun times!
i called my dr and he had me come in this morning, and what my bro in law suggested was correct- its my gall bladder! fun stuff!
right away this morning my dr had me get blood work and get an ultra sound. by the time i was driving home they called me to say i needed to come in in the a.m to get the stones and gall bladder removed. they told me it couldnt wait. ugh!
so tomorrow morning around 7a ill be getting my gall bladder out and wont be going back to work till monday.
oh and that pulsating feeling? it was kinda a WOW moment for the dr to chuckle and tell me, 'girl your skinny now thats normall to feel your aorta and blood pumping!' . lol
speak with you all when i get back!

Feel better soon! I had the same experience last week and had my gallbladder out 2 days ago! :-( I will say its not as bad as my sleeve so hopefully your surgery will be easier too! Maybe its something in the water in Norman... lol Anyways... I hope things go well and let us know how you're feeling! And the story about the Aorta is funny :-)
thanks girl :) i was in the office seeing dr. walton today and saw dr.b in pass and thought of you, hes kinda cute ! haha
maybe it is the water! funny thing is until i moved here i never drank tap water (eww nyc/jersey water is horrible!!).. haha
i dont expect much pain at all, but did they give you meds just in case? aenesthia always makes me feel funky for a few days and stuff.
thanks for the well wishes <3 am

Dr. B was actually out of town so Dr. Walton did my gallbladder removal on Monday. That's just weird that both of us had gallbladder problems this week. I actually work at WW in the exercise department and I'm planning on going to work tomorrow so maybe I'll see you there. And yes, they gave me pain killers to use after surgery but I only took them once monday afternoon and haven't taken them since. Hope everything goes well!
Hey!
Happy surgery week, I'm also celebrating...if you can call it that...lol. Actually this surgery I just had is similar to what my gallbladder surgery was like and it's really not too bad as far as surgeries go. I'm on my 2nd day and I'm still pretty sore and tired but hopefully it will get better with every day that passes. Between my RNY, gallbladder, c-section and now hernia repair, my stomach looks like I've been in a street fight.
Best of luck to you and do let us know when you are out and recovered.

i am home and comfy now from my surgery this morning. it was a breeze and im just super sore!
i was just thinking that earlier, i have so many little cut marks on me now, it does look like a fight or something! haha
i even have a fun belly button one now too!
right after your gallbladder could you eat the same? my bfs mom was saying his sister got sick up until a year after when she ate some stuff out of the ordinary. i doubt thatll happen i eat super healthy (99% oif the time. haha), but just curious..

I don't recall anything making me sick after gallbladder surgery, I just took it slow and started with liquids and gradually moved up to solids, just like WLS. This current surgery on the other hand, I have no desire to eat and the only reason I eat is because it's required before I can have my pain meds. Otherwise, everything makes my stomach hurt and makes me nauseous. I hope that goes away soon.
I"m really glad your surgery went well, keep resting! If you are like me, I feel like I've been on a week long bender. I just kind of shuffle around the house half coherent.....gotta love surgery! Ugh.

My boyfriend asked if i wanted stop at the market w. him or go home while he went on our way home from surgery, so i went with him cause they put some gas inside me like in the rny, and to walk. i did better then i expected but man i was totally in a fog! it made me wonder how people do pain stuff recreationally, and function. silly people!
