im home and question
I'm home after surgery on tuesday. Yay! I'm feeling okay just tired and sore!
I also have a question. MyDR sent me home with Lortab. Its says take 4teaspoons as needed for pain. That's fine, except I'm only supposed to have 1oz of food at a time (every hour) does med not count? I mean 4teaspoons is 2oz. Confused!
honestly from my experience and from a lot of what i read, you won't need the pain meds for long. i think i took mine for 2 days after the surg and then never again. take the meds slow! don't swallow all at one time, you wont be able to keep it down. i would swallow half, wait like 5 or 10 minutes and then swallow the rest. because its liquid it rests a little easier then food would. hope this helps! and congrats on the surgery!!!
I had the same issues, I had a infection someone that they could not find, so I had to take tests after tests. One of them was a cat scan and i had to drink this almost a gallon size of some sort of liquid and I almost had to argue with the dr about my small tummy taking in this much amount of water. I just drank it really slow but if it started hurting then I would just stop till it was ok to drink more.
So if you need it go ahead and take it but if it hurts stop till its fine then drink more.
Have a great day!

med doesnt count! i remember taking lortab and its not very thick so in reality its going to be in and out of your new pouch faster then u could believe. Take your meds as needed and dont worry about exceeding your 1oz of food rule, its not food.
hope that helps! and good luck on this crazy and confusing journey =)
great group of girls/guys here to help you along the way!
