December... I'm glad it;s over
December... sucked!
December 1st: I went to the ER with the most excruciating pain in my abdomen. 24 hours later I am told I have gall stomes and it has to be removed
December 2nd: While I was in the hospital someone threw a rock through my car window, stole everything in my car including cds, a gps, school books, and christmas presents
December 6th: I have my window replaced to the tune of $200
December 14th: My hours got cut at work and are permananly sliced in half. As a part timer barely making it before... now my finances are even tighter.
December 21st: Gallbladder removed... major pain and a bad reaction to the meds in the hospital
December 24th: On the way home from Church someone turned in front the car ahead of us. They spun into us and took the front end of my car off. Aside from massive panic attacks (for which I am being medicated) my family is unscathed. I wish that I could say the same for my car.
December 29th: Got a phone call from my insurance... my car is totaled. After the insurance sends their check to my bank where I have my car loan I will still owe $1000
December 30th: went to apply for a loan to get a replacement car and I was denied
December 31st: I realize I cant even afford to go to a buy here pay here place ... the ones in my area want a minimum of 75 - 100 a week on a 6500 car!
No loan options + No money = stress + anger + depression
I have no idea what to do
I have no one who can help me
What do you do when you have 2 part time jobs and full time school and no car?

I had almost the same thing happen to my car a couple of years ago. Luckily, the bus service around here was decent enough. I biked everywhere else, rode Amtrak to see my parents occasionally, and occasionally got friends to drive me around. It sucks, but at the same time it was a huge opportunity to save money on car insurance and gas. Auto insurance for a 18 year old guy is so high (even with no accidents) that the amount I saved not paying for it was enough to eventually get a decent-ish car.
so hang in there, it gets better! good luck!
