I finally had my surgery!

I had my surgery on December 22!

Everything went well regarding the operation itself. However, I had a nightmare with my IV and had to get stuck 8 times before they got it. My IV slipped out in ICU and the doctor was putting it in as i woke up- that was so scary.

Also, my experience with some nurses and cleanliness of the hospital did not go well. I ended up with a kidney infection and I am convinced it is from the condition of the bathroom.

I am at home now and doing well. I have a lot of trouble getting in all of my liquids- but I get better each day. I go to my follow up appointment on the 5th.

Thank you to everyone that gave me words of encouragement- it really helped.

keep working at the liquids. sip sip sip!!! everything will get easier over time and don't get discouraged!!!!!!

Oops, I guess i got the name wrong. It wasn't the ICU but the PACU. :)

And yes, IV's are the WORST!

glad ur home now n feeling well!!!! all of this bad experience will be just a far memory in no time. all of ti will be worth it!! hang in there. and wellcome to the LOSERS BENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome to the bench. i had a problem with one of my nurses and a problem with my iv in my hand. itll be a distant memory as u venture on this journery. your surgery is exactly one year after mine. congratulations on a path of a new healthy u.
