Susan Maria Leach's website www.bariatriceating.com has a lot of great shake recipes.  They are the ones that I used early on and still use from time to time.

Keep trying those sips! Iis really hard to eat anything at 2 weeks out but with time, it does get better!

i dont currently supplement with shakes anymore, i seem to be able to get the necessary protein from meals, just something for u to look forward to a little further down the line!
When i did supplement i LOVED and swore by Click, its a mocha flavored powder that u mix with milk/soy if u cant handle milk and its delicious! i would check with ur doc first because it does contain a small amount of caffeine!
also try it with a shot of sugar free torani syrups...i LOVE the caramel and white chocolate flavors!
check out netrition.com

good luck!!

I had the same issue and I suggest you to try Isopure Zero Carb Ready to drink protein...... I get them at GNC its cheaper if you purchase online than in the store but one bottle (20oz liqiud) has 40g of protein. They are clear frutty type drinks instead of a thick shake. Also for shakes the one I can tolerate is also from GNC and it is the ProFormance 100% Whey - it has 20g of protein per scoop and I mix it with ff milk for more protein so then its like 28g of protein. Good Luck with this I know it is very hard but it really does get beeter with time =)

I have gone through so many protein supplements before finding a few I can stand.  I still can't drink a full 8 oz. at a time, but I guess you have to get in as much as your stomach will allow you!

I initially tried Unjury, several flavors.  Hated them.
I tried Isopure premixed juice flavors, hated them.

Here's what I've settled on:

Oh Yeah Minis-Chocolate Flavor (must be cold) for on-the-go, and BSN Lean Dessert in Chocolate Pudding.  I also purchased the powdered peanut butter (PB something) which I add a little bit to the BSN just for variety.

I also just purchased Jay Robb's Chocolate sample.  I've had several people recommend it, so I'm going to try this soon!

I have NOT been vigilant with drinking my protein shakes, and I think I'm starting to pay the price.  I allowed myself to let it slide because I couldn't find one that I liked drinking.  Now I have to just force it down, as much as possible.

Good luck!  I hope you are making progress!!

I use RTD MuScle Milk Light and I also add skim milk to it. It taste like chocolate milk and you cant smell the protein in it at all.  The milk gives 8g more of protein as well. TASTE GREAT!!!

i've been drinking Unjury a lot.  my fave is the chocolate.  i put a scoop of it in with my coffee...and hey...cafe mocha! lol also....my nutritionsist gave me the whole spill about different kinds of proteins.  whey protein isolate is supposed to be the best type of protein. it's not a protein that helps you 'bulk up' but it helps maintain a healthy weight loss.  when you go protein shake shopping, look at the ingredients...if the first one listed is whey protein isolate, you should be good.  i think special k20 is whey protein isolate too.  it's only 5 grams, but it helps you get through the liquid phase.
