Oh my ~ an off-topic post

My son's babysitter just brought over a Christmas present for our family.  A Crayola toy for my son, which is cool and also a giant, beautiful tray of Christmas goodies.  AHHH!  I put them out on our not heated front porch so I will not be tempted to go out there because it's freezing.  It was a sweet gesture because the family is awesome so I don't blame them.  It'll be a good test of my will power.  I told my husband that I'll bring them to my parents house for Christmas (maybe, see below) or if the temptation gets to be too much, he can bring them to work.  

Oh yeah, it's going to snow 20+ inches here in the next 3 days.  I can't go home for Christmas :-(  the first time....well, ever. I'm bummed but what do you do? Our Governor held a press conference saying that there will be power outages, livestock will die and if anyone is going to travel, do it now.  It's very apocalyptic in a way and scary!    My husband, son and I are planning our own little family Christmas and hopefully we can get to my parent's house by the weekend.   

Just wanted to share my odd goings on of snow and cut out cookies.  Ugh, cookies. 

 If anyone is dreaming of a white Christmas, feel free to stay at my house!!

I just wanna add. there is a   CARROT CAKE!!! in the fridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i survived the brownies and the 1th carrot c ake but this 2ndone i dunnoooo!!!!!!!

I won't even understand what hot is until about, oh July.....sad.  However, we leave for the Bahamas one month from today, so maybe I"ll luck out and get a sneak peak of summer in the winter!!

theres been tempations all over the place here too.. but i just keep on thinking of those 24 more pounds i got to go... and how icky evverything would make me feel anyways..
i did indulge in some pretzels during our 2 hour drive to & from to  visit some family today though, but im pms'ing maybe it wont count? hahaha j/k.. oh road junk food!

anyways, hope the snow doesnt get that crazy! last xmas was my first away from home ever, and it was a lil poopy but i was around my boyfriends family and they are so fabulous so i was very grateful to feel comforted that day.

 My husband is actually ecstatic that we get to stay home.  He's not so much a large group person and we basically cram 15 people into one small house with two bedrooms.  Complete chaos!   I'll miss it but this is good two with just us and the boy.  :-)    It'll be exciting because now we get to do the whole cookies and milk for Santa, open presents and veg out the rest of the day in our jammies in the comfort of our own home.  My son's at the age now where he gets the whole Christmas thing and is really excited.

tomorrow we will be at the grandparents and we will be in a tiny bity house with like 25 other people and a fireplace,, sounds so good right now considering snowing and icing like mad in oklahoma at the moment... note to self, must have fireplace when we buy a house. haha
