Grrr
People should really think before they speak.
Today I met my girls for lunch and I saw an old friend who is and has always been MO. She was eating lunch with another woman who was not obese at all. She introduced me to her friend like this... "I barely recognized you because your skinny now! This is {insert name here} and she lost alot of weight too, but she lost hers on her own."...
I just smiled and said it was good to see her and good to meet her friend but I really wanted to sarcasticly say..."Oh really? Well i'm SOO glad that I had someone else loose my weight for me"
I'm sure she didn't really mean anything by the comment and until she's been on this side I doubt she'll ever understand how it feels but I just wish people realized how hard this process really is and not look at WLS as an "easy fix".

Ya...I'd like to know who lost your weight for you...I have a couple of friends who need some help....HAHAHA. I guess people don't understand that it does take work and discipline for WLS to be successfull...not to mention the mental torture we have to endure. But like you said she probably doesn't realize the comment she made was in any way insulting.
