new to this ite surgery date feb 4th 2010

hi my name is Angel I am new to this site i had my first consult yeasterday where they gave me a date of feb 4th They said there should be no problem with my insurance and other then my weight and back problems im pretty healthy I have done alot of research and ally just lookimg for support very nervous

Thank you everyone for the welcome. I am having the bypass done. My boyfriend thinks I should join a support group so i can talk with people who have had it done. i think i might. i have been reading this forum ever since i went to the seminar along with others. i have tried to do as much reasearch as i can and realize that this is no quick fix but at this point in my life i know that if i dont do something drastic im going to end up like my mom 350 pounds with no ambition to live at all. I have two little boys 7 and 8 and they deserve a better mom. last year i had a lumbar fusion and my surgon has told me that i need to loose wieght and about three months ago my dr told me i have high blood pressure which im now on meds for. im 28 5'7" and 260 pounds diets just dont work and its hard for me to exercise(although i know im going to have to push myself)because of my back. This is truely a last resort for me and im starting to obesse over it. now im sorry im all over the place theres just so many things going through my head.
