Slowed Weight Loss
So I'm just now hitting the 6 months post op and my weight loss has come to a screeching halt! I know that I'm not doing everything perfectly like I was the past few months but I've only lost about 8lbs in the past 6-8 weeks. I've been bouncing around 220-222 for the last 3 weeks. I know that I could be better about working out and not grazing throughout the day, but I just find I'm so stressed out from finals that its crazy difficult to stay on track! I'm just wonder for all of you that are 6 months or more out how much your weight loss slowed down around this point and what you did to adjust. I know this was a rather random post, but any input would be greatly appreciated!
I am just over 8 months out and yeah the weight loss has slowed down. I had the realize band and was losing 3-4lbs a week to start out with and now its down to maybe 1-2lbs a week maybe. I'm not complaing though because this is what I'm supposed to be losing with the band any ways. My diet is still the same but I know I need to work out more than I do. Good luck and it could just be a stall that lasts a while and things will pick back up, just be patient. Also, congrats on how far you have come so far.
I feel ya! I've been stalled since November 2nd...until today!! It is really frustrating (and frightening) while it's happening no matter how many people say it's normal.
Looks like you have lost A LOT of weight in your first 6 months, that's amazing! Good job! Keep doin what you are doin....it's working!

Thanks guys! I guess I'm just pretty frustrated right now because I know I could be better about things but I'm not! I know I've pretty much lost all that I'm going to in the "honeymoon" phase of the weight loss and from here on out its going to be me having to work hard to loose the last 45 lbs. I've been hitting the gym about 4 times a week and I'm trying to up that to 5-6 but we'll see how that goes the next couple of weeks. Once again, thanks for all the support!
So I guess that, in line with everything else in life, as soon as I got frustrated enough to make a post about stalling and slowed weight loss I lost 2 lbs in 3 days! LoL So I guess it was just an annoying stall and hopefully I'll lose steadily for a while. Thanks for the support guys!
As for working out in Norman, I work out a the OU workout place otherwise I would definitely say that we should workout together! We should try and set up some outdoor workouts in the spring when it isn't so dang cold!
