I had surgery a week before you and I started drinking alcohol again about 3 weeks ago so I would say you're probably good to go. I will say that you will probably have a much lower tolerance after loosing 100lbs because my tolerance definitely dropped significantly! Also, watch how much you drink because alcohol and the things its typically mixed in are crazy high in calories!
I would talk to your surgeon to see what their preference is and why... my surgeon would prefer never but he suggests until you are done losing weight or to at least wait a year.
Remember that alcohol is a lot of empty calories and sugar so be wary and hold yourself accountable - you dont want to not maximize the 'honeymoon period' or lose out on any of the 'weight loss window'.

good luck!
