Pushy?

My Dr. said they would submit everything to insurance the 1st week of November, I haven't heard if they have yet or not, do you think it'd be too pushy to call my insurance to see if they've received anything?

 Nope, push away!  It's actually good to check just to make sure they received everything they needed and to let them know you are very interested in getting the process moved along.  

Think of it this way, if they needed something from you I'll bet they would have no problem being pushy to you to get what they needed.

thats actually how i found out that i was approved before my dr. did!!  I was soo anxious and called to see if they had gotten the info, the guy told me yes to give them a few days.... two days later i called the insurance company back and a lady told me actually it says here mrs. rogers that you are approved for your surgery! GO FOR IT!

I thought I was being pushy when I called too, but i'm glad I did becasue my doctors office told me they faxed my paperwork in the week of 10/12 and I called the insurance on 10/19 and they said they didnt have any records of it yet, but to give them another week..... I called again on 10/26 and still nothing! So I called my doctor's office and they resent it same day. I called the insurace 3 days later and they confirmed the paperwork was received 10/26.

I was going to call today but my Dr's office e-mailed me and said they've been trying to fax it since last week and keep getting a rejection of the fax - They called the insurance today to verify the fax number and it's the right number so they sent a paper copy via snail mail and re-faxed again... Jeesh.  More waiting... ya'd think they would have called after the 2nd failure, not after a week!  Trying to be patient!!!
