After surgery, how long until you were back at work? I am hoping to get Lap RNY and to be back after a week or so. Does the fact that we are younger help with recovery? Thanks

I had the realize band done and took 2 weeks offf of work. I have a very physically demanding job so I needed the time off.

I would say most people take two weeks off work. I did. Even if you sit in a chair all day (like I do) Your incisions and muscles need time to heal properly. Even sitting in the same position for 8 hours was a little uncomfortable for a couple of days. But hey if you feel like you can return after a week then why not? Just listen to your body and don't over do it.
Good Luck!

I had the same surg and returned 2 weeks after to my desk job. but then unfortunatly was feeling awful and took another week off - i think i went back to soon. just listen to your body. you'll know more then anyone if you feel like yourself and can do your job.
