Unfortunately, my surgery was aborted. While i went through all the trauma of getting put to sleep, only to find out that my surgery was canceled. My surgeon said that my heart rate would go sky high then as low as in the 30's. So he cancelled my surgery. I was relieved in a since, but upset. I finally put the effort, in getting the surgery and it is cancelled.

Well, I can't say that I've ever heard of that happening but it sounds like from what you described the surgical team made the right judgement call.  It's better that you came out of the OR without the surgery than to have them go ahead and possibly end up with bad complications or not come out of the OR at all.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out the way you had intended.  Did they say if it's possible to try again?

I'm sorry to hear that, but I agree they did make the right call. I know its disappointing to go through all the hard work only to have it not work out in the end. Did they know why your heart rate became so erratic? Have you ever had surgery before? Try and be positive, it will all work out!
