does having Low Iron levels affect your Platelets???

I had my RNY in Feb. 2009.  i am 27 years old.  Haven't been on Iron since surgery.  Surgeon did  blood tests other day....... Could that be the reason my Platelets are low??????? 

I would think this would affect it. If your iron is low all the elements of your blood are going to be off and this would affect your platelets. try taking an iron supplement or eating things with more iron. good luck

I've lost about 4 pounds since September 26th. That's concerning me. I am 8 months Post-Op. Had RNY Gastric Bypass in February 2009. Is this supposed to happen or am I experiencing a stall again??
