What Type of Protein Shake?

If you go to the RNY board I recently posted a thread about Protein. There were several suggestions made and someone even posted a link to tons of different shake recipes to make with protein. I was also told not to buy to much of one kind because our taste buds would change after surgery. Hope this helps and good luck!

You want a Whey based protein (milk), its more complete than soy based proteins.
You want something with little or no sugar and lots of protein. There are a million brands out there and its really based on taste preference.. what one loves another does not. Order samples or find someplace you can buy samples at and start trying - also what you like pre-op you may not post-op so dont go crazy purchasing proteins. I found some I liked pre-op were just too thick post-op.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)
