Pulled something??

Help! I think I pulled a muscle or something. I'm 9 days out of my RYN. Everything has been going well. And I haven’t had any complications. Yesterday I started to notice this sharp pain in my very lower left abdomen (belly). It’s nowhere near my incisions, and I only noticed the pain when I sat/laid a certain way, or when I reached to grab something. Today it’s worse. I sneezed earlier this morning, and man oh man did it hurt like hell, and when I was using the bathroom, I had to push a little, and it hurt really badly too. I think it’s a pulled muscle or something, I wasn’t too worried about it, because the pain isn’t constant, and I don't have a fever, or vomiting, or nausea. However when it hurts, man does it hurt. Did anyone go though this? I'm using a heat pack when I lay down, but I don't know what else to do. I have my 1 post op appointment on Tuesday so I thought I’d ask you guys first.

I'm thinking I have over done it a little bit. I have a 13month old, and I don't live close to any family at all so I’ve been playing mommy and wife like nothings wrong. I didn't pick her up the first few days, but I had to after my mom left (day 3) I only pick her up to put her in and out of her crib, and the bathtub, but I think that may have over done it, she’s 20 lbs, and I don't think I'm supposed to lift anything over a gallon of milk.

Oy!

EDIT: I wrote this yesterday, my internet was out. After a good night sleep with a heat pack it feels a lot better. Still tender though, and I can’t move certain ways, I just want to know if anyone else went though this?

Thanks!

I had the exact same problem about 10 days out of my RNY. The pain wasn't constant and it was located just under my incision on my left side. I went into see my doc and he said that there was nothing wrong, that the bottom left incision would be the most painful as it was healing. He just told me to take my pain meds and "walk, walk, walk" I didn't see how the walking would help, but I walked and the movement helped. It was the worst in the morning when I first woke up and I wish I would have thought of a heating pad lol! I hope you keep feeling better, walking might help (it did me), just wanted to let you know I went through the same thing.
