Lose shoe sizes?
Hey everyone!
Newbie here ... I'm currently in the process of WLS, but don't have a date set yet. I was wondering if anyone has experienced going down in shoe sizes? I have the widest feet and would love to be able to fit in smaller shoes post-op.
If you have lost shoe sizes, how many sizes have you gone down?
Thanks!!

Thanks! Right now I'm an 11W and I have the hardest time finding shoes. I have to shop at Payless (which I normally love their shoes) because they carry 11 wides, but lately some of those sizes won't even fit me! Their wide is just not wide enough and I get so upset. I would love to be able to go down a few sizes. I am hoping for surgery by the end of the year, so hopefully come January I can buy some nice new shoes :)
I never needed the wide-width shoes, but I did have difficulty fitting into some of the "regular" heels. My feet are naturally a bit wide (bone structure wise).
I have gone from a 10/10.5 in a dress shoe to a 9. Tennis shoes have gone from a 9.5/10 to a 9 or 8.5 depending on the shoe.
My good friend had her RNY in June, and she's so excited for all of the shoes I will be sending her way. I'm sad to let my collection go, but this means I just get to go buy more new, cute shoes. Expensive, but fun!!!
Moral of the story: DON"T BUY NEW STUFF NOW!!! Avoid the temptation to pick up new stuff, because after surgery, it won't fit. Whether it's clothes or shoes, leave it on the rack. I promise you'll be able to shop again, and you'll love being able to shop in the "normal" sections of the store.
Good Luck!!!
