subway

I am 5 months post op and I have not attempted eating a sandwich yet. I was wondering has any one had problems with eating subway. We are going there today for lunch and I know they have salad but I kinda wanted to try a sandwich. Are there any horror stories I should hear before I try this? I do not like to try something for the first time out in public for fear that I don't know how my body will react. Hope everyone is having a great day.

i wouldn't try it for the first time out in public, i know for me bread expands and it doesn't sit well in my pouch! I  can have bread toasted and i do well with wraps....! Definitely if your going to try something new i would try it at home first! :) hope that helps

I loveee subway and the first time i went after my surgery i was about 4 months out and it didn't go down too well i felt really sick after and now i'm really scared to eat it again.. but everyone is different if u do eat it hopefully it goes good for you.. good luck hun..

 love subway! just becareful, don´t try to bite the whole thing lol. take off the top bread and upll be fine.

 I had one of the flat breads there before and did ok with about 1/3 of it.  It did feel uncomfortable though so be careful.  You safest bet is to just get a salad....

Whenever I go to subway I get 4 meatballs and cheese in bowl. It only costs 1.00 and I don't have any embarrassing "bread" moments. Be prepared for a few weird looks when you order just meatballs, but no more than if you are peeling apart a sandwich you get
