Is there any way around the 6 month weight loss program? Or is there any way to make it go by faster, or has anyone ever had their doc work with them so that they didnt have to wait the actual 6 months??? Just curious! THANKS!!

I did mine 3 times! No, there is absolutly no way around what the insurance requires you to do. Make sure you do it and do not miss any appointments. Time goes by on  its own :)

No way around it. Sorry.

However, since my doctor knew me, knew my history, and knew my lifestyle, she knew how to arrange my program to be beneficial to me.

I did it, waited the six months, and didn't lose a pound. Nither my doctor nor I were surprised. It's just one of those insurance hoops you have to jump through.

i have anthem blue cross insurance here in California and a six month supervised diet was not a requirement for them i just had to prove that i had tried to diet before for me it was easy i have been dieting since i was 8 all i did was go to my regular doctor and got a referral for my surgeon i saw him July 1st, 2009 and had my surgery September 8Th, 2009.it went amazing and i have lost 50 lbs so far...i think its just all about your insurance.
