24 hour Pre Op Diet?

My surgeon wants me to do liquid diet the day prior to surgury...   [on the same day as the magniseum citrate...]

what did you drink for your liquid diet? 

protein shakes, water, broth, crystal lite things like that was long as its liquid you will be fine. Good luck

 I was on  a clear liquid diet....so pretty much anything you can see through was fine.  Good luck, that by far was the most unpleasant part of the surgery experience for me.  I hope yours will go smoothly!

its tough when my surgury date is still not 100% confirmed... well.. its confirmed, but ONLY if my insurance approves the procedure. Tomorrow is the last day for the insurance company to make up their mind...  and im schedualed to do liquid diet Monday, and check into the hospital tuesday @ 5:30am...

to know im so close, and it could all be taken away? *sigh* hopefully tomorrow brings good news...
