I was the complete opposite after surgery. I would be in the store.. and then it would hit me.." I gotta go!" LOL. But, after about 2 months it was rare so I started drinking that milk of whatever it helps :)

I experienced the same thing after my surgery.  I was desperate to not feel like that, so I went to the drug store and bought a bottle of suppositorys (my mom's reccomendation).  I was freaked out because I never had to use those before.  I used it once and havent had that problem since....... Worked like a dream.  Hope this helps!

 Hey!

I had the same problem after surgery...I didn't go for days.  Honestly, I still have this problem but I think it's just getting to be normal for me to every 2-3 days instead of every day.  Occasionally I will take some stool softeners because if it goes too long, it will become painful when I do go.  I don't like to do that but it's become the best alternative I can come up with.

Good luck!

Ive had the same problem since the day i had surgery 2 years ago. Get some miralax at the store-it tastes like absolutely nothing and you can put it in your drinks-its a powder. Also part of the reason you might be having this problem...you dont drink enough water? Thats what my doc thought caused my issues-even though i though i got enough lol.

I am 6 months out and still have problems with constipation. After surgery it was realy bad...calling doc every other day tried everything etc ...eventually I had to take an emena (disgusting but worked). As far as now I have to make sure I eat yogurt every day and benefiber in my foods to make sure I go...hang in there you will balance out soon!

I take a probiotic supplement and go at least once a day. I still have lots of gas though which occassionally causes some abdominal discomfort.
