HELP! What are u eating!?
Hey guys I am a lil over 4 months out from gastric bypass surgery and down 74 lbs
But I did back slide a bit on eating.... i really never have got enough protine or water in....
So my question is about how many calories should i be taking in a day????
And what kind of food do u all eat.........
I need simple meals.
I am a full time mommy and wife haha and i also work a full time job.....so i do not want to be standing over the stove or oven forever! hahahaha.
Any suggestions??

Rolled up deli meat and cheese is always a quick meal for me. I always keep salad fixings on hand too. Chicken breasts are quick to fix. There are a few frozen dinners out there that are high in protein and taste good (and make for about 2 or 3 meals!) . My crock pot is my best friend, it's a worthwhile investment! Susan Maria Leach's book Before and After has some great recipes in it, I highly suggest checking it out!
Good luck!

thnx. ya im a big fan of deli meat and cheese hahaha. and i have about a spoon or 2 of peanut butter a day.... not a heaping spoon.
I have a crock pot...never been used i should pull it out....lol
I cant eat chicken.......used to be my FAV thing in the whole world to eat lol but since surgery it makes me incredibly ill! I feel way over full from one small bite and usually end up vomiting.
:o( so sad

I use to freaking HATE deli meat if I couldn't eat it on bread. But somehow I am back to liking it. What I do is I buy a head of lettuce, put some miricle whip on it, and then deli turkey meat, or ham and then roll it up. You could also put cheese on it. It's really yummy. I love it! Also, make hamburger patties and just use lettuce as the buns. MMmmMMmMmm
Low-carb wraps! I love these things. I use La Tortilla Factory low-carb tortillas, either ham or turkey lunchmeat, and cheese. It ends up having about 200 calories, 5g carbs, and 20g protein.
Do your best to get your water in. I've found that when I don't drink enough water, I don't lose weight or I slow down.

i would suggest going to the eggface website. she has some really good pizza recipes (she calls it pizza porn lol) and other great recipes!! i usually make a cheese pizza with low carb tortilla low fat pizza sauce and mozzarella cheeze mmmmm im sure u could put pepperoni or whatever you want on them! ur sposta cook them in the oven to make them crispy but i too am a mom and dont have time to cook. so i just make mine and throw it in the microwave. doesnt make it crispy but still taste good to me!!!
Calorie reccomendations vary by surgeon so its hard to say what you should be eating.
Easy things to eat -
refried beans - mix in cheese/sour cream
cottage cheese
greek yogurt
tuna fish/tuna salad
soups loaded w/beans (taco soup... kidney beans black beans)
ricotta cheese mixed w/sketti sauce and LF cheese (like lasgana minus the noodles)
meats - if you have problem tolerating lower fat meats (like turkey, chicken) try a higher fat ground beef... you can always cut back to a lower fat as time goes on... fat helps make it more moist, also cook in ways that keep food moist - crockpot, soups stews etc... avoid the mircowave as it tends to dry out food. This time of year chili is great.. if you cant do the ground beef you can use the fake meats (soy).
