So just curious if any of you have used either the Wii fit or the Active?  I am going out this weekend to purchase one or the other but I am not quite sure which one will allow me the most activity?  Thank you in advance for any advice!  xoxoxoxo

I HAVE THE WII FIT AND I LOVE IT. HOWEVER THE WII FIT GAME THAT COMES WITH IT IS NOT A HARD ENOUGH WORK OUT FOR ME. I LOVE TO WORK OUT AND IT HAS ALWAYS COME NATURALLY WITH ME AND SO THEY HAVE A BOOTCAMP FROM JILLIAN (BIGGEST LOSER COACH) THAT I HEARD IS AWESOME!  I AM A DEFINITE WII FIT PERSON! IT ALSO KEEPS TRACK OF YOUR PROGRESS.

Don't waste your money on the Jillian game. I got it and was all excited about it but it really wasn't good at all. It has some good ideas but it wouldn't register all the moves I was making. One of the challenges was to do monkey bars but you weren't suppose to press any buttons on the controller so I guess it was going to measures from the board but I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. Even just the walking down the trail and trying to pick left or right was hard. I wondered why Jillian wasn't promoting the game and stuff and now I know. I actually went and traded the game in because I wasn't playing it. I live the wii fit games but I'm hoping to get the Active for Christmas.

i have the wii fit and LOVE it, i find it gives me the right amount of endurance for being so close to post op. i really really really love my wii fit. however there are some people (member Sheeyt) who will tell you he swears by the EA Active. ive heard thats great too, its more intense.

I've been thinking about getting the Wii Fit. There's an updated version called Wii Fit Plus that's coming out 10/4. It's supposed to have brand new additional activities.

I have both. I love the EA active though. It will keep you in check, meaning making sure you do the exercise the right way. You have to put a sensor around your thigh and that's how it measures if you are doing the exercise right or not. For example if you are going down far enough when you are doing lunges. Or, if you are picking your legs high enough when running etc. Hope this helps!

Thank you to all for responding!  I do love this site--there are always so many supportive people who are ready to answer ANY question!  Well I guess I will do a little more research and decide which one will best suit my husband and I.  A big part of me....lol (no pun intended)....is leaning toward the EA active as it kind of seems a bit more challenging.  Hmmmm still pondering......

I have both and Active is by FAR a more worthy and worthwhile workout.
