Congrats on taking the first step to a new life! I am 24 as well and had surgery 4 months ago. And it has changed my life for the better. I would do it again tomorrow if I had to. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Hi Sarah, I'm 25.  I haven't had my surgery yet, I'm scheduled to have it on the 29th.  I have to say I really love OH.  It is a place for you to be open and honest and really get answers.  Sometimes a doctor or someone in a support group won't exactly be honest with you.  I don't think that is the same here.

oh thank yall for your wonderful welcomes and hellos! i am so very excited for all of you who are very soon going to have surgery. i hope all will be smooth operations and very successful.

a little bit about me:

i have considered surgery for a very long time (all in the meantime i have been a member of the oh) but i never had insurance. i just found out the insurance i have will cover it if it is a medical necessity. tonight i am going to an information seminar at community north in indianapolis. i am so very excited and i hope this is the right direction for me.
as far as diets and weight loss atempts: i work out every day and i watch what i eat but due to insulin resistance i am at a weight loss plateu which sucks. i have been doing this routine since february and i am ready for this plateu to get back on track.

well, i just stepped through the door. i went to the information seminar tonight and now i have to set up my initial consult with the doc, the dietician and the psychologist. i am hoping this runs smoothely and promptly and HOPEFULLY my insurance will cooperate. thank you all for your support it is cetainly VERY appreciated!
