i just had surgery on tuesday morning.  at this point i am feeling like this is the worse thing i could have done.  im so thirsty i just want to be normal damn. everything...i mean everything is making me sick.  i cant even take the liquid meds because it makes me nauseous.  also i am only getting in like 2 oz of liquid...everything makes me sick even water. no matter how slowly i sip.  is this normal will this go away? the pain is horrible  because i cant take anything for it. i just got discharged from the hosp today which i think may have been too early the only thing i got down in the hospital was 1/2 oz of applesause. nothing is sitting right, im not comfortable. the surgeon reassured me everything im feeling is normal but idk. i just really want to feel better, im getting depressed. i've been crying all day. plz help guys is there something wrong or is this normal?

After having my surgery I was realy nausus as well. I couldnt drink anything i could barley take my pain meds. Finaly my mom emailed our dr. and he called the pharmasict and gave me some medicine. it was supposed to be a supository, but b/c i had been constapated and my mom had just solved that issue i refused to do the sapository so the pharmsict switched it to pills i took one pill took a nap and never felt better. so just call your dr. and tell him your nausus and cant get nothing down otherwise you will get dehydreted and end up back in the hospitale.

yes is very normal what ur feeling i had the felling of  what did i do this to myself for over 4 months i was feeling kinda blue and  weird, but then everything go back to normal. i guess is normal after any surgery u know, so much emotions and stuff.
about being thirsty i know is sooo hard! i remember watching people drinking a full glass of watter, and i just was diying to do the same thing, and i thougth i was never gonna be able to do that again. but after a few months ur gonna be able to drink watter normaly again and also is gonna taste as before don`t worry, if u add some crystal light or something like that is gonna be easy to drink ur liquids u should try it.
if u keep feeling sick and u cannot keep ur liquids down and u feel like this is not normal. i mean if u are in real pain and u are sure is not cuz ur feeling blue or weird, call ur dr, and make them lisen to you! is very important ur dr, know whats happening.
good luck
and keep us posted.

The first week after surgery really sucks. I know I regretted having surgery. But it gets better. By the time you get to regular foods, all of this will be a distant memory. Just gotta tough it out.
