APPROVED!!!
Hey Everyone! Long time no POST!!!! Anyway...Last Friday I was sitting in my moms kitchen and she goes " Oh I keep forgetting to tell you...Someone named Karen called and said you were approved for your surgery" AHHHHHHHH!!!!! OMG!!! You should have seen me. Fat girls aren't supposed to be able to jump up and down like that. I was so excited. So today I gotta call the doctors office to schedule an appointment. I'm so excited. But then I think back to when I was about to go into surgery for my Gall Bladder and remember how scared I was....I was crying and asked the doctor if my mom could come with me (I'm 27 years old) LOL...I was so scared but I made it out alive and well.

Yay you! *lol* I had to laugh a little when you said you wanted your mom when you went into surgery for the gall bladder at 27. Girl, I am 42 and tears were welling up when they rolled me down those hallways. Fortunately, they were all so nice and both the admitting nurse and the surgical nurse had the same name as I do, so I considered that a weird little omen.
I made it through ok...Just had to wait in recovery forever for my room to be ready. But all went really well surgically speaking.

Its so different going in for WLS... when I had my gall bladder out I was nervous too! But when I got my band done i was laughing with the anesthesiologist and nurse and just having a good time. I think it was the weeks of waiting for my surgery that put me at ease!! Good luck with your surgery!! You will be so happy you did it!!
