I have a date!

And I'm really excited!

I have been a lurker for a long time, but haven't really posted at all. It's been kind of a long road--I started looking into WLS last February, got the process started, and found out I was pregnant! :) Had our baby daughter in February and have been pursuing WLS again.

I did everything I needed to do for my insurance request---consulotation, dietician, psychiatrist, nutritionist, excercise consultation the whole thing. Then insurance denied my initial request.

Went through and did an appeal and got denied again. My husband had surgery about 5 years ago and we have decided that we would just pay for this. So--I did the application and got the approval for a Home Equity Loan today and called the surgeons office to make my appointment!

I'm scheduled for surgery on September 17th! I am excited, but am now thinking.....is it worth the $25,000 it's going to cost me??? I think in my head, I know that my health is worth it, it's just really hard to wrap my mind around it......any encouragement you all have or stories about how this has changed your life would be appreciated!

Congrats!!!! I just got my date too! You can change it to show on your posts by going to my oh settings and then status I think -- don't quote me on that. Lol.

Congrats on your date!! We'll only be a few days apart--it will be nice to have someone in the same stage!
I'll have to figure out how to change my settings!

Thanks Emily! I think I know it's worth the money--it's just a LOT! ha ha!
