This is why we need so much water.....
Hey!
Our surgeons are always harping on us about getting enough water and I"ll be the first to admit, it's hard sometimes. I do pretty well most days but some days I just will forget to drink enough. Never again!
Yesterday my sister, brother-in-law and got tickets to see the great Alice Cooper in concert. We had premo standing spot 2nd row from the stage. We saw the opening act and they were just about ready to start when I started not to feel good. I grabbed my brother-in-laws arm and then everything went black. The next thing I know Alice is singing School's Out For Summer (so I was told, I couldn't hear or see anything) and I'm getting hauled over the gate being carried by EMT's. Next memory I have I was laying on the back of a golf cart getting my blood pressure taken wondering what the hell happened. I did get to see the last half the concert after I sat in an air conditioned building for awhile, got my glucose taken and another blood pressure check (90/46..yikes). I'm fine today, just a little woozy still with a headache. What an ordeal!
Long story short, not enough water on a hot summer day. I've never passed out before and it was horribly frightning..so I don't want it to happen to any of you! Drink, drink, drink! Non-alcoholic beverages, preferable! :-)
The cool moment was when I asked the EMT's if I was heavy to get over the fence and the one guy was like, "No! What do you weigh, like 10lbs??" ......I had to laugh at that one.
