finally post op
I had my realize band yesterday. I had to stay in the hospital for a couple of hours just for them to watch me and make sure I could do the things they want me to do at home (tolerate broth/jello/water, walk and pee) which I did with wonders. I cant believe how quickly I got from the OR to the Recovery room and up to a bed to be watched. I was put on a special floor for bariatric patients and it was really great. The nurse I had was extremely knowledgeable and was supportive of me the whole time! I have been sipping on water and walking like crazy. I was afraid to take the pain meds because I get extremely nauseous from most pain meds and I don't want to make myself feel worse. I tool half of the prescribed dose just to test it out and I did ok. I am way excited to be done with the surgery. :) Hopefully over the next couple of days I will start to feel much better.
