i loved sushi sooo much before surgery i rember craving it after surgery and when i 1th try it like maybe 4 months out i didn´t enjoy it  could eat only like 3 pieces  and it didn´t taste the same. chewwing to much the sushi is not  a good idea lol. i start enjoying it again about  a year out or a lil more. u can try but i don´t think it would taste like it use to, but give it a try and take it easy u may enjoy it. try a healthy one like a california rol or something like that.
good luck and let us know how it go.
hugs.

I had sushi about 3 months out and tolerated it ok.  I couldn't eat more than about 3 pieces but that was ok!   I don't do rice the best but I just took my time.

I love sushi.  I didn't try it until I was a year out, and have had it 3 times since then (almost once a month).   Some sushi bars have rolls where instead of being wrapped in rice they are wrapped in cucumber--it is my favorite, and low carb.
