Five more pounds??!

I went over to my mom's place to try on the dress I'm going to wear for my sister's wedding in September. I put it on and we were clipping it for later tailoring and she says, "Five more pounds and this'll fit perfectly."

Five more pounds? When have I EVER heard THAT?  I replied, "Did you just hear what you said?! When have we ever said THAT about ME?!"

I mean... at 300lbs, losing 5lbs was like spitting into an ocean... it would make no difference. "Just five pounds" is about models, skinnies, 'normals'... it's never about ME! It might be lame, but I have never been so happy to hear that!!

Here's the dress that I need to lose "just five more pounds" for:

Wow you look great!!!  KUDOS to whoever picked that dress, it is really amazing and flatters you perfectly!  Be sure you schedule another session with the tailor a week before the wedding, you probably won't fit in it by then!
