2 Weeks and 2 days out!

So, tomorrow is my first post-op visit!  I have gotten on the scale occasionally, but they told me not to do that, AND I got my period a few days after surgery, so I haven't really gone back to that... SO, I'm waiting to see what they say at the doctor's office!

It has been a struggle.. I have felt very discouraged because I am getting sick of the same foods and I feel like I haven't lost any weight at all.  I know it's a tough journey, but, I have had some days in the last two weeks where I've just laid in bed crying.  Is this normal!? How much did you guys lose in the first two weeks?  Also, I definitely need ideas of pureed foods to eat... I am sick of refried beans and carnation instant breakfast! I feel so lost, guys.

Help!

Me too! I have a subway right beside my office and it's the strangest thing, I just want a salad or some crunchy vegetables! But I am right there with you... I was sooo depressed, but it's gotten better every day.  Yay us!

I think it's pretty normal. hang in there, things definitely get better with each passing day and with each new food. 3 weeks was a bench mark for me, and then at like 3 months when you really settle down. everything gets easier from there

As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!

I'm the opposite. Everything I've eaten or drank has gone down fine, and I've been feeling like I'm hungry a lot. It kind of scares me that this isn't going to work for me, but I know thats irrational thinking. Also, my mind wonders off sometimes and is like damn why did you do this to yourself blah blah blah and I start freaking out...I guess it's kind of a normal thing to doubt yourself during this journey especially since a lot of us did that before the surgery as well.

I'm going on pureed soon too, I really have no idea what I'm going to be able to eat...any suggestions?

Good luck ladies :)

Okay so today next week will be one month for me...And to let you know I stared my period exactly 2 days after my surgery to. I am on the DEPO shot wich I usually don't have my period but I think something about this surgery did it for me. Talk about uncompfortable. Anyways I was/am getting sick of the same foods also what has done good for me and I also do the refried beans and cheese or I do tuna with a bit of mayo and pureed I mean relish size pickles I have never dumped on that (wich idk why I would) but I then measured 2oz of that and it's yummy. Ummm my dr wants me to eat potatoes so I do mashes taters and cheese and thats really yummy also.  I am having a brain fart....OH I do cream of chicken soup, chicken noodle drain the noodles and I do cheat and eat eat eat the chicken in it but as tiny as possible. I mean thats about it. Don't worry crying is normal your body has just been through a big change and don't worry I cried a TON also.  It's totaly okay. Don't worry about what everyone else lost in the first weeks because for one person it could be 20lbs and the other it could be 5 so that may discourage you.

Anyways I hope this helps ...welcome to the loser bench and good luck on everything!

Ahh I know what you mean, I got my period the day after my surgery. I'm on pills I take every day to make me not have my period, and then all of a sudden it was there...damn that sucked!
