First 30 lbs gone forever...

I had my surgery June30th so today I am 20 days post-op and have lost my first 30 lbs. For some reason, don't feel excited because I don't see any diff in myself. I know the numbers on the scale have dropped 30 but I just don't feel like thats actually true, I even told my hubby we needed to get a new scale because ours was broken. Was anyone kinda in denyal about losing weight at first to?  I mean it seems really weird that I would be more excited, I think I will be once I see a BIG change. Idk...any ideas?

im in the same boat girl. . .im out 1 month and down 40 lbs and though other people can see my loss i cant!!! and so i just like you am not excited. i know i should be but i cant help it. i kinda feel ungratful because there are so many people who would be so happy to drop 40 lbs and who actually workout and still cant lose their weight.

oh well keep up the awesome loss and in time i know we will both
be happy to lose!!!

Always, Sarah  xoxoxo

I know exactly how you feel! I have lost 80lbs and I don't think I started noticing a difference until I had lost at least 50lbs. Even though I was constantly getting comments from people at work who knew I had the surgery, but still it takes a lot longer for you to see the change in yourself. I see it mostly in my face, neck and shoulders but its like every where else still looks big to me. Give it time and you will see the difference. congrats on the 30lbs lost so far that is great!

I'm sort of in denial about how fat I am. I think I have a cute face and I avoid looking at my body in mirrors. It kinda freaks me out when I am doing laundry and look at my super size undies and jeans. Whatever... You may be able to tell by taking pictures. Also I wear strechy clothes because they are more comfortable and I wear the same clothes today as I did 70lbs ago. The only thing I have noticed is that my jeans fall off my ass by 10am (they still fit when I put them on in the morning) and I can wear my button up shirts without undershirts. Your doing great!
