Third Day Out & Home From Hospital

Hey everyone. I just wanted to thank everyone who have posted messages in the past about when in the hospital to make sure you walk, walk, walk! I really think that advice helped me get out of the hospital yesterday. Also, I'm taking all the advice about sipping away...I really wish I could down a bottle of ice water right now though...I feel so thirsty and I love water!!

I'm in quite a bit of pain and uncomfortable, but I was told it's mostly gas pain so I've been trying to walk around the house a lot. Anyone have any more advice on how to get that darn gas out?? Otherwise, wow I can't believe I'm on the losers bench now...crazy!

Im a day behind you! I feel very bloated Ive been walking and walking and nothing. I gained 9 pounds while in the hospital which is quite depressing!

I still feel really bloated too :( I didn't get weighed in the hospital and I really don't want to do it right now at home because I know if I see that I went up I'll get upset even though I know...IT HAPPENS! Don't worry about those 9 pounds, your all pumped up with gas and water from the IV.

Most of my pain is on the left side. Left arm, where my drain is etc. You have any of that? Also, I am SO tiredddd!

My pressure is all in my back, isn't that weird! My back is killing me. To top it off I feel like I did some hard core areobics because all of my muscles hurt. Im going to stay away from my scale I know im only a few days out.  So you got open rny? How does the drain feel?

My back has been bothering me too. Not sure if it's because I've been sleeping on my back and I'm not a back sleeper or what...doctor said maybe from lying on the hard operating table to or the gas. I'm still burping a lot trying to get as much gas out as I can...oh yeah and walking. Make sure you walk, hopefully your pains will go away soon!

Nope I had the laproscopic RNY but my doctor puts a drain in everyone apparently. It sucked. You have to be careful with it when taking a shower and using the bathroom, because its sensitive if it just falls to the floor. However, I GOT IT OUT TODAY :) It was the weirdest sensation when they pulled it out though and I was scared.

What kind of protein drinks have you been drinking?? Whens your next follow up appointment?
