The waiting game!!!!! aggghhhh

SO I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THAT I WAS ASKED TO DO...MEET SURGEON.....PSYCH EVAL....LOSE 10% OF MY WEIGHT.....MEET WITH THE NUTRITIONIST...

SO ON FRIDAY, NANCY OUR PROGRAM COORDINATOR CALLED ME AND ASKE ME TO DO AN EKG AND CHEST X-RAY, AND THAT DR.DENNON HAD MY CHART ON HIS DESK FOR REVIEW..WELL SHE ASKED ME TO CALL 3 FULL DAYS AFTER MY EKG AND X-RAYS WERE DONE.... SO I CALLED YESTERDAY...I LEFT HER A MESSAGE AND NOTHING ALL DAY....

IM GETTTING INPATIENT AND WANNA CALL HER BACK BUT I REALLY DONT WANNA BE THAT PERSON...

ALL IM WAITING FOR IS THE OK FROM MY SURGEON AND A PRE-OP DATE AND OF COURS A SURGERY DATE..I KNOW IT WILL BE SOMETIME IN AUGUST CUZ OF COURSE JULY IS FULL..BUT I WANT TO KNO ALREADY...IM PULLING MY HAIR OUT WAITNING...AND I JUST WANNA PLAN..PLAN..PLAN...

I would call again. Be nice but take it from me... You care more about your health than any of them. My mom is a nurse at a large hosital and told me that when you do not continue to call and remind them they put you off on occasion. Don't be rude and mean but if you are pleasent and friendly they will remember you and try and get your needs met so you will leave them alone.

Be that person! These doctors have hundreds, if not thousands of patients - the ones that call constantly are the ones that get the attention. Trust me, I would still be waiting for my surgery if I didn't call almost daily either the doctor, the insurance company, or someone else.

i agree, you definately need to be that person....i hate being that way too, but they honestly have alot to do at these offices. my coordinator is the same way. if i dont keep on her I wont hear from her. i am at the same stage...i only had to do three months with a nutritionist and that was done 2 months ago. i have been waiting and waiting and they are finally submiting to my insurance today. its so hard to be patient when it comes to your future.

im still waiting i have called everyday this week...lol..and nothing yet..

i work at the same hospital that im having my surgery ( kaiser), so i know my doc is in today..but why hasnt he looked at my f' 'n chart..........im getting so impatient cuz i was told he will be going a vaction for a week..and i dunno what im gonna do if i dont hear from them today....

im already approved ....my surgeon just needs to review my labs and x-rays and make sure im healthy enough to undergo surgery...so as soon as i hear fromthe coordinator she wiil gimme my date...........im hoping for august and i need to know ASAP so i can put the time off request...

ok im done ranting...
please cross ur fingers for me guys...=)

ok guys...

so its tuesday 7/14/2009...and STILL WAITING....

wat do i do..i have called every other day..im gonna call again today...but im starting to get sick to my stomach...i really need a date soon because i will take the first date available and i really want to give my job more than a few weeks notice....

.i guess ill just keep on waitng...( not that i have a choice.=( )
