-- surprised trip to New Orleans--need ideas???

well i got a surprise visit from my bf last night... he is taking me to new orleans this weekend... he even wants to take my bike down there .. he never wants to ride the bike with me... he already booked the room..

what i would like to know... any great eating spots... night life places...  i have no idea what to do down there... its our first time for the both of us to go to N.O..

any suggestions would be soooooooooooooooooo helpful...

I went there a few years ago. I loved Bourbon Street! New Orleans is a very neat place to vist. I would love to go back again.

my mom lives in new orleans and I've been spending a lot of the summer there- its got some fun things to do. Honestly, eating is what they do ALL THE TIME but if you're in the french quarter its great for jogging or bike riding, around the canal and stuff. you should totally go to cafe du monde and get begneits, that's like a must. Almost all the restaurants in new orleans are great, just walk around and look at menus. if you have a price range or a type of food you like, I can recommend some. everyone does bourbon street at night- they shut down the street and everyone walks around. Razoo's is great but sometimes gets crowded. There's an AMAZING karaoke bar called The Cat's Meow. Make sure you try a hand grenade if you're drinking. there's lots of fun places with live music. have a great time!
