I'm back
Hi all,
I'm finally back to posting. I've honestly been through hell and back the past 6 weeks. I had pneumonia and went to the ER and later found out I had a leak at 7 months out. I was admitted to the hospital and was there for 20 days. I went into the hospital wearing a size 8 and came out wearing a size 4. I'm still not allowed to eat or drink anything and haven't since May 22. I'm fed daily through an IV at home, but it takes 14 hours to cycle. It sucks. I'm still leaking but according to my doctor its gettng smaller. I hope to be healed soon so I can eat and drink again because honestly I feel like I'm starving to death. I hope everyone else is doing well.

Well the infectious disease doctor at the hospital was the one that figured it out. I had pneumonia and had an abcess, and these pockets and they led to my stomach. My symptoms were extreme fatigue, anemia, high fever, shaking chills, loss of color in my face, shoulder and back pain and just overall feeling crappy. I kept being misdiagnosed with kidney infections but was constantly running a fever.
wow girl that is SO scary. I can sympathize on the not eating, cause when I got that sick I was NPO for two weeks. I lost a good bit of weight but it was just a horrible way to do it and it took me awhile to get back on my feet. I also got pneumonia last week and it was just a yuck ordeal, thankfully I didn't end up back in the hospital. You poor thing. It's good at least that the leaks are closing on their own and you won't have to go back under the knife, right? how long does the doctor expect before he'll let you eat again?
As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!
