How much did you lose in the first 2 weeks?
I had my 2 week post op visit with my dietitian today and I brought in my food logs and she told me that I was doing things right and that I wasn't over eating, and that I should try and get a bit more liquid protein in my diet. I am a little discouraged because I've only lost 15 lbs in the first two weeks. I had to to a pre-op diet and I lost 15 lbs in those 2 weeks also. I'm a little frustrated because I've heard that some people lose 20-30 lbs an the liquid diet and then another 20-30 during the first two weeks. I know everyone is different and I shouldn't compare so much but I'm curious what other people's results have been like.
ur gonna have a very long journey if u keep comparing urself to other people's weightloss. so knock it off now. that's 15 more pounds than u woulda lost ong ur own b4 surgery. so chill out and enjoy the ride, you'll get there.

"I'm not ashamed of where i've been but proud of where i am!"
if your dietician thinks you're doing things right... then youre good. weightloss is going to happen. 15 lbs would take a couple (if not a few) months pre-op... think of it that way.
i lost a lot in 2 weeks, i'm a little over 3 weeks out and I'm down 30 lbs.... but i had some really crappy (literally, i was crapping a lot) hurdles that definitely triggered the weightloss.
don't sweat it. you lost more than 1 lb a day... that rules!

You already know you shouldn't compare, so don't!! One day you'll look back and laugh at the phrase, "I only lost 15lbs in two weeks." It's an incredible amount to lose in such a short period and your team said you were doing everything great, so just keep at it!
I started out at 236 the day of surgery and at two weeks I was weighed in at: 224....that's right 12lbs! I guess I didn't even know that until I just looked it up. But the point is, we all lose at different rates. Someone who is 280lbs is GOING to lose weight faster than someone at 236..it's just a fact of life. You aren't doing anything wrong, it's nature!
Keep it up, the pounds will be falling off in no time!!

P.S. At this stage of my weight loss, I'd flippin do cartwheels around town if I lost another 15lbs in two weeks.... :-)

I had my 2-week post op a few days ago and I lost 15lbs after the surgery and gained 4 back. I was frikin' pissed but the Dr. said it is normal and to relax. I have read other posts and it seems that there are stalls in weight loss too and re-gain even a couple weeks in. So be grateful you did not re-gain like me.
