I'm stupid and don't know how to upload a profile picture/avitar

OK so every picture I try and upload it says that it's too big and that I can't upload anything bigger than 20k. The picture I'm trying to upload is 37k. I tried cropping it down smaller and I just ended up zooming in. I've tried other pictures and every time it says that the file or whatever is too big. Please help.

Go to www.shrinkpictures.com and upload a picture from your computer to that site and then shrink it to 20k.

Then click on change avatar on OH and paste the link from shrinkpictures into the box that says "upload from another site".
